FOUNDERS' PLEDGE / MISSION STATEMENT
Established January 10, 2005
Circle of Trust RV Family
Members' Pledge
Updated 10/17/2005
The Circle of Trust RV Family is a group of
independently owned companies who serve the Recreational Vehicle consumer.
"Family Member" Companies bearing this seal have been carefully selected as
having an excellent customer service rating, a reputation for distributing
quality products, and a commitment to the future of the RV
industry.
First and foremost, we must always keep in mind what the COT RV
Family is and what it represents. Our collective objective is to combine the
efforts of select RV businesses united in the ideals of networking together to
share contacts, assist each other in mutual marketing efforts; in a community
spirit at no or low cost to other members, and to explore more creative ways to
promote everybody’s products and services.
As a COT Family Member I agree
to the following:
1. Members of Circle of Trust RV Family agree that an
"All for one, one for all" spirit should pervade our dealings with each other
and with the RV Community in general. All "family members" bearing our seal must
be approved
UNANIMOUSLY by all of the founders. A family member’s seal can be revoked at any
time, without refund, by a majority founders vote if the terms of this agreement are broken or compromised in any way.
2. The Members agree that we are
individual companies with the right to express our own individual policies. We
agree not to hold each other back from other opportunities or situations, which
might be considered competitive with each other -competition is good, and we
respect each other’s right to continue to grow business when opportunity arises.
We do pledge to each other that we will refrain from any practices which might
actually damage the business of a Founder or Member.
3. Everyone involved in the Circle of
Trust has his own business and many outside responsibilities. We hope you can
use this site to help each other in new and creative ways. We'll give you an
example: we, the Founders, have created this site to assist ALL of us, and we
have committed to each other that we will be as active as we possibly can in the
member forum to help our members. With our own businesses to run, it will
sometimes be hard to do. But we have made a pledge to each other that when time
runs short for one of us, the others will try to step in and answer his e-mails,
complete his projects or carry them forward, or assist him in some way. This
makes it possible for one company to do many more things - it's as if we've each
expanded our staff by five! Perhaps you could do the same, or perhaps you'll
think of even better ways to share your resources...
4. If a founding
member or family member decides to dissolve his membership with the Circle of
Trust RV Family, he will relinquish any and all rights to past or future
benefits resulting from the COT; including anything of promotional or monetary
value. When a membership is dissolved, the COT seal will be removed from any web
sites.
5. This site is a productive place to share your ideas. The
Founders hope to act as facilitators of your many exciting ideas, but we are not
baby-sitters, and will not continue to host a board that becomes a domain for
arguments or conflicts among competitors. The very nature of this creation makes
it impossible that you will not eventually run into someone or something you do
not agree with. Should you have issues with another member, do not bring it
here. "Take it outside," or you will be terminated from the forum.
This
Family Members' Pledge will exist and remain in effect for the duration of the
Circle of Trust's existence on this site, and you are agreeing, upon
registration to the forum, to its contents.
The Circle of Trust is an
evolving project and a community effort. All Founders understand that the Pledge
will need to have added commitments from all of us as we move forward. This
document is a living testament to our commitment to work together to create
something of value, based on friendship, trust and good business principles. It
may be amended as needed by the Founders.
